Kelly A. Smakal earned her J.D. from the University of Arkansas School of Law in Fayetteville in December, 1996. While there she was on the Dean's List, and was a member of the Phi Delta Phi legal honor fraternity and the Student Bar Association. Ms. Smakal has been an adjunct Clinical Professor of Law at the University of Tulsa's Elder Law Legal Clinic. Ms. Smakal is an active member of both the Oklahoma and Tulsa County Bar Associations, having held several offices and received various awards. Ms. Smakal is currently involved in the Tulsa County Bar Association's Professional Responsibility Committee and the Court Operations Committee. Ms. Smakal is the author of "Pro Bono Legal Services for the Poor" on the OBA Desk Manual on CD-ROM (1998, 1999). Ms. Smakal is admitted to practice in Oklahoma and the Northern and Eastern Districts of Oklahoma. Ms. Smakal's practice is concentrated on all areas of domestic and probate matters, including guardianships and adoptions.
