After beginning her career as an intern at Jefferson County District Attorney’s Office and then serving as a Deputy District Attorney in the 18th Judicial District, Laurie realized that she is best suited to help individuals and families going through difficult situations. Laurie has been practicing family law since 2007 and has appeared in Arapahoe, Douglas, Denver, Jefferson and Adams Counties. Her experience as a prosecutor and handling family law matters makes her a skilled litigator, while her background in psychology makes her a valuable counselor. Laurie is dedicated to understanding each of her client’s individual circumstances and needs, and she is committed to achieving the best possible outcomes for each of her clients. Laurie specializes in family law cases including dissolution of marriage, legal separation, allocation of parental responsibilities, paternity, post-decree modifications and enforcement, child support, contempt, guardianship and grandparents’ rights.
In addition, Laurie handles misdemeanor criminal cases including, but not limited to domestic violence, driving under the influence, child abuse and traffic infractions.
Outside of the office, Laurie is the Chairman of the Board of Directors and a regular volunteer for Southeast Community Outreach (SECOR), a non-profit organization that provides a food bank and other assistance to people in need in the southern suburbs of the Denver Metro Area.
