Kevin O. Skedsvold was born in Williston, North Dakota on August 20, 1963. He was raised in Augusta, Georgia and moved to Atlanta in 1985. He earned his bachelor's degree in political science with a concentration in history from Augusta University (1985) and his law degree from the Georgia State University College of Law (1988). Since obtaining his law degree, Kevin was admitted to the Georgia Bar in 1988.

Kevin has focused his practice on Insurance Defense Litigation with a particular emphasis on defense of Employers and Insurers in workers' compensation matters in the State of Georgia.

He also practices general civil litigation with specialization in insurance defense, premises liability, commercial/common carrier litigation, bad faith litigation, subrogation, insurance coverage, product liability, and collections. He serves as state-wide counsel for numerous large and small insurance companies as well as many private and self insured corporations. Kevin is also admitted in state and federal courts located throughout Georgia. He is a member of the State Bar of Georgia, Atlanta Bar Association, the Defense Research Institute and Georgia Defense Lawyers Association.

In addition to being admitted in all Georgia Trial Courts, including Federal District Courts, Georgia Supreme Court and Georgia Court of Appeals. As result of his practice and experience, Kevin was honored by his colleagues in the Georgia Bar with Martindale-Hubbell's AV rating for expertise and ethics.

As part of his law practice, Kevin is actively involved in presenting seminars to his clients in an effort to keep them apprised of new developments in Georgia law on a wide range of topics including insurer bad faith, risk management, claim investigation, insurance coverage, trial practice and workers compensation issues. He has been approved by the Georgia Insurance Commissioner's Office to provide continuing education seminars to insurance adjusters for credit. Kevin is also the only Attorney in the State of Georgia to be selected by Wickstrom Insurance and Risk Training Center, a nationwide firm providing general workers compensation and state specific worker's compensation training, (www.wirtc.com) as an instructor for certified workers' compensation training on matters pertaining to Georgia Law.

Kevin is also the inventor of a revolutionary new worker's compensation program, designed to bring supply chain management techniques to a worker's compensation system that even in today's information age relies on outdated mail and facsimile means of communication. This system, called COMPWORX (www.compworx.net) is designed to lend greater transparency to a confusing worker's compensation process while removing unnecessary delay and in the process saving unnecessary payment of benefits.
