David Howland is Director of Trust Administration for the Fiduciary &; Investment Services group of Perkins Coie LLP. He is responsible for the management of trust administration and client services and is a member of the Fiduciary &; Investment Services management team.
David brings 33 years of experience in management of fiduciary accounts and estate planning to the group, most recently as Senior Regional Trust Officer for the Merrill Lynch Trust Company in Los Angeles. At Merrill Lynch he managed trust administration for high net worth clients and supervised a team of other trust administrators. Before joining Merrill Lynch, he was Senior Vice President and Fiduciary Services Group Manager for Bank of America Private Bank in Los Angeles, having previously held various management positions in Atlanta, Washington, D.C. and Richmond, VA. David also holds a law degree and formerly served as managing partner of Davis &; Howland in Birmingham, Alabama, where his practice focused on estate planning.
David graduated from the University of Alabama with a B.A. degree in political science. He obtained his J.D. from the Cumberland School of Law at Samford University. David is also a graduate of the American Bankers Association National Trust School at Northwestern University and Cannon Financial Institute Trust School at Boston University.
