Jim is a civil litigator with 12-years experience. Jim's clients have included both plaintiffs and defendants in employment disputes, personal-injury cases, and real-estate disputes. Jim has successfully tried cases to verdict in both state and federal courts. He most recently worked as a founding partner at a small St. Louis law firm specializing in consumer class actions, where he and his partners successfully obtained multi-million dollar settlements on behalf of Missouri consumers. Before this, Jim worked for several years at a large St. Louis law firm, where he gained valuable litigation experience in a variety of business, real estate, and employment disputes.
Before becoming a lawyer, Jim served for four years as an officer in the United States Navy. From 1994 through 1997, he was stationed aboard the USS Saipan (LHA-2), an amphibious-assault ship. He earned both his undergraduate and his law degrees from Northwestern University, graduating from its school of law in 2000. Jim is licensed to practice law in both Missouri and Illinois, as well as corresponding federal district courts and federal courts of appeal.
