Shana Siegel, Esq., CELA, is a certified elder law attorney and focuses her practice on representing seniors and persons with special needs and their families in connection with asset preservation, estate planning, supplemental needs trusts, planning for disability, and guardianships. Ms. Siegel has been involved in health and long term care issues for over twenty years, with a New Jersey practice dedicated to elder law and special needs for the last seven years. Prior to her legal career, she worked as an advocate and regulatory specialist at AARP. Ms. Siegel has also served as an adjunct professor of elder law at Seton Hall Law School.
Ms. Siegel is a member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, the New Jersey State Bar Association, NJSBA Elder Law Section, and Women Lawyers in Bergen. Ms. Siegel has been accredited by the Veteran's Administration to represent veterans. She is also a certified health care compliance specialist. She earned her JD with honors from Georgetown University and her BA with honors from Barnard College.
Ms. Siegel writes widely on elder law, special needs and health law topics and was a contributing author of the NYSBA, Guardianship Practice in New York State. She also has appeared on Montclair TV34, a local television channel, addressing elder law issues.
