Matthew N. Horowitz is a Registered Patent Attorney in the Miami Office specializing in the complex intellectual property litigation including patent infringement matters, trade dress infringement matters, and international trademark disputes. In addition to litigation experience, he also prepares, files and prosecutes patent applications mechanical systems, consumer products, medical devices and business methods.
Mr. Horowitz has significant experience in motion practice dealing Daubert matters as well as complex discovery matters. He also assists in large scale document productions, e-discovery issues and trial prep.
While in law school, Mr. Horowitz received the Dean's Certificate of Achievement (top two grades) in Intellectual Property Survey Law and has previously received both the Dean's Certificate of Achievement and the CALI Excellence Award in Property. Mr. Horowitz's legal studies at the University of Miami primarily focused in intellectual property, where he served on the Editorial Board of the International & Comparative Law Review.
Prior to attending law school, he received his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, cum laude, from Lafayette College. His technical experience includes employment at Florida Power & Light (FPL) as a materials failure analyst. He also served as a research assistant at Florida Atlantic University.
