Kimberly Hamilton Signer is from Middle Tennessee and a graduate of Battle Ground Academy in Franklin. She graduated from Birmingham-Southern College with honors with a double major in Spanish and Latin American Studies and then went to the University of Miami for her Masters Degree in International Studies. While completing her undergraduate and graduate work, Ms. Signer studied abroad in several Latin American countries. After completing her masters, Ms. Signer graduated from the University of Tennessee College of Law with a Concentration in Advocacy and Dispute Resolution. While at UT College of Law, she was an active member of the Tennessee Law Review, Student Director of UT Pro Bono, a member of the Environmental Law Organization, Law Women, and the Immigration Law Society. During her third year of law school, Ms. Hamilton participated in the Advocacy Clinic at UT College of Law, one of the topped ranked clinical programs in the county. Her publication credits include Immigrant Detention Centers in the United States and International Human Rights Law, 21 Berkeley La Raza Law Journal 93 (2011). Ms. Signer is bilingual and frequently represents Spanish-speaking individuals. Ms. Signer is a member of the Franklin Noon Rotary Club and Cornerstone Presbyterian Church. She enjoys gardening, cooking, biking, swimming, triathlons, and walking with her dog.
