Richard House grew up in Sparta, Tennessee. His mother and step-father, the late John and Angela Camp, were both attorneys in the small, Middle Tennessee community.
Upon receiving his Bachelor’s degree from the University of Tennessee, Richard graduated from the Nashville School of Law in 1999. His practice since that time has focused upon civil litigation, criminal and administrative law.
In January 2008, Richard was selected to serve as an Administrator’s Designee for the Workers’ Compensation Administrative Review Division. Serving on the Appellate level for Department of Labor’s Workers' Compensation Division, Richard presided over the appeal of hundreds of worker’s compensation claims. After leaving the Department of Labor to return to private practice, Richard also served upon the Administrative Review Committee for the Governor's and Commissioner's Top-to-Bottom Review.
Richard is a member of the Nashville and Williamson County Bar Associations. He also teaches various continuing legal education seminars in the areas of civil litigation and workers’ compensation. Richard is married and has two daughters. A son of Tennessee, he is also an avid outdoorsman.
