Gene has extensive scientific, regulatory and legal environmental experience including past work on energy conversion and emission control programs through his involvement in the petroleum industry and organizations such as the American Petroleum Institute, the New Jersey Research Council, the Coordinating Research Council and the Society of Automotive Engineers. He has also handled thousands of underground storage tank claims on behalf of the Pollution Liability Insurance Association and a state insurance fund. In the area of toxic torts, Gene has acted as National Coordinating Counsel on a wide variety of drug and related insurance claims, ranging from latex glove allergies through most of the major drug issues of the past several decades, using his scientific background to coordinate the activities of medical experts. Other representations have included employee fraud against a major international chemical company, the collapse of the largest salt mine in North America, and nationwide damages stemming from corrosive construction materials.
