Hank Holmberg, a staff attorney, focuses his practice in the areas of asbestos litigation, personal injury, insurance coverage defense, medical/dental malpractice, and construction defect litigation. Since 2001, his entire caseload has consisted of defense of Honeywell-Bendix friction asbestos claims, including extensive review of medical and scientific literature and governmental regulations and standards with an in depth focus on NIOSH and OSHA regulations, PCM and TEM microscopy, mesothelioma and lung cancer, chrysotile versus amphibole fibers, fiber burden studies, ambient exposures, occupation-specific exposures and brake exposures.

Prior to joining Perkins Coie, Hank handled an insurance defense practice for over 20 years consisting primarily of auto, premises, commercial, products, property damage and construction defect cases. He provided dozens of coverage opinions and served as liaison between legal office and claims departments and served in numerous administrative and supervisorial capacities. Hank's trial experience includes serving as first chair in 27 jury trials, the 10 most recent Superior Court trials have resulted in 2 defense verdicts, 6 in amounts less than special damages and 2 settlements during trial in amounts less than special damages.
