Holston, Patrick J.

Christopher E. Sherer is a native of Hillsboro, Illinois and became associated with Giffin, Winning, Cohen & Bodewes, P.C. in 2004.  Chris concentrates his practice in civil litigation and appeals.  His background in civil litigation and appeals includes two years as a judicial law clerk with Judge Thomas H. Newton at the Missouri Court of Appeals for the Western District of Missouri. 

Mr. Sherer's practice areas includes Family Law matters, such as divorce and child custody, and he is approved as a Child's Representative for the Seventh Judicial Circuit.  Chris also routinely represents counties and assists State's Attorneys on issues concerning litigation and appeals before courts and administrative tribunals throughout the State of Illinois . 

Chris devotes a substantial amount of his time outside of the office as a volunteer firefighter.  He serves as Secretary of the Hillsboro Volunteer Fire Department and is also a member of the department's Dive Rescue Team.
