Lily Shanks' practice focuses on commercial litigation matters pending before state and federal courts, including representing clients in complex litigation in cases involving contract disputes, local and state hotel taxes, and consumer class actions.
Recently, Lily has been involved in Jones Day's representation of Expedia, Hotels.com, and Hotwire in a wide variety of litigation, ranging from a national consumer class action to multiple individual cases and class actions brought by tax authorities seeking to retroactively extend local and state hotel taxes, which were traditionally imposed only on hotels, to online travel companies facilitating hotel reservations.
Lily is a member of the State Bar of Texas, the Dallas Bar Association, and the Dallas Association of Young Lawyers. She is conversant in Spanish.
