With over a decade of trial experience, Mr. Hobbs has spent the majority of his career handling litigation matters, and focuses on civil and business litigation, personal injury, workers compensation, municipal law, commercial transactions, bankruptcy, property, zoning, corporate organization, and family law. In addition to his experience in private practice, Mr. Hobbs continues to serve as an Assistant Public Defender. Prior to joining the Firm Zimmerman, Lieberman, Tamulonis & Hobbs, Mr. Hobbs was the proprietor of the Law Offices of Christopher W. Hobbs. Mr. Hobbs began his legal career as an associate for John Jones & Associates before President Bush appointed Judge Jones to the Middle District of Pennsylvania Federal Court.
Throughout his career, Mr. Hobbs has served the community, taking on leadership roles for various non-profit and community organizations, including serving as a member of the Schuylkill County Economic Opportunity Cabinet, the Chairman of the St. David’s Society of Schuylkill and Carbon Counties Vocal Scholarship Competition, as Co-Chairman to the Schuylkill County United Way Lawyer’s Division, and as an appointed Trustee of the United Presbyterian Church, Pottsville.
Mr. Hobbs is admitted to practice in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania as well as the Middle District of Pennsylvania. He is a member of the Pennsylvania Association for Justice and the Bars of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and Schuylkill County. He also completed training in the collaborative law process.
Mr. Hobbs earned his Juris Doctor from the Widener University School of Law in Harrisburg. He earned his undergraduate degree from Lehigh University.
Mr. Hobbs resides in Pottsville with his wife of eleven years, Alisa Rhoades Hobbs, and their two children, Caroline age four and Christopher age three.
