Janna R. Severance is currently of counsel with Larkin Hoffman. She also serves as general counsel (in-house) for Presbyterian Homes and Services ("PHS"), a long-term care provider based in Roseville, Minnesota. Ms. Severance has practiced business law, including securities law and corporate finance, for almost 30 years. In her role as PHS counsel, she also advises on issues specific to the long-term care industry.

Janna received her Bachelor’s degree from Carleton College in 1975. She received her doctor of law degree from the University of Minnesota in 1982. She also holds a Masters Degree in communication disorders from the University of Minnesota (Minneapolis) and worked for several years with multiply handicapped children and young adults as a speech pathologist, developing nonverbal communication systems and providing therapy for disorders in speech and language.
