For nearly two decades, Mark Seiden has successfully represented a broad range of clients in a variety of commercial disputes, insurance coverage battles, product liability defense, and real estate litigation. While frequently appearing in New York courts, Mark also has litigated cases in courts throughout the U.S. and has advised clients concerning judicial proceedings abroad. The scope of Mark's practice includes clients facing putative class action claims and complex multiparty matters as well as more traditional one-on-one litigation.

On behalf of Macy's, Mark recently led a Jones Day team that successfully opposed — both at the trial and appellate courts — a request for certification of a nationwide class of vendors pressing claims under UCC Article 2. On behalf of IBM, Mark successfully argued before the New York Court of Appeals that alleged soil and groundwater contamination did not constitute a material breach of a commercial lease. He also represented IBM on a number of insurance coverage matters. Mark's representation of R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Company spans a decade and includes a wide variety of cases including putative class actions, third-party payor suits, individual product liability cases, marketing and unfair practices claims, and alleged international money laundering. Mark has significant experience handling matters involving asset-based lenders, including factors and A/R financiers.

For three years, Mark authored a bimonthly column in the New York Law Journal that focused on developing core litigation skills for junior lawyers. Mark devotes significant time to pro bono matters, including child abduction cases brought under the Hague Convention.
