Kyle Sclafani is a native of Metairie, Louisiana, and attended high school at St. Martin's Episcopal High School. He graduated from the University of the South (Sewanee) in 1996 with a bachelor's degree in Political Science, and served as the Chairman of the Honor Council. After graduating from Sewanee, Kyle spent three years traveling and performing as a professional musician. In 1999, Kyle returned home and earned his Juris Doctor from Tulane University Law School, graduating cum laude, in 2002. While studying law at Tulane, Kyle was a Moot Court Trial Champion and was twice published in the Tulane Maritime Law Journal.
Kyle practiced in the areas of insurance defense, premises liability, and construction law for five years with two major New Orleans defense firms. In 2007, Kyle joined the firm of Braden, Gonzalez, and Associates. While there, Kyle successfully litigated matters ranging from commercial disputes, premises liability, automobile personal injury, and family law.
Kyle has operated his own law office since the fall of 2008. He provides advice and counsel to companies operating convenience stores, builders, contractors, and other businesses throughout the New Orleans area. Kyle is an owner/operator of the Lake Terrace Crossing, the first gas station/convenience store to return to the Lake Terrace neighborhood in New Orleans.
His practice includes helping individuals injured in auto accidents, bicycle accidents, slip and falls. Kyle also represents individuals dealing with divorce, custody, and related family law issues.
Kyle is licensed to practice before all Louisiana State and Federal Courts, and the U.S. Fifth Circuit Court of Appeal. He is a member of the Louisiana State Bar and New Orleans Bar Association.
Kyle lives and resides in Metairie with his wife, Julie, and their son, Salvador. He plays music (guitar and bass) and performs locally with various artists.
