Originally from Cincinnati, Ohio, Allison received her Bachelors of Arts degree in Political Science and Spanish Language and Literature from Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin before attending Creighton University School of Law. At Creighton Law, Allison earned her Juris Doctor and a Certificate of Concentration in Comparative and International Law. During the fall semester of her third year at Creighton Law, Allison studied the Spanish legal system at the University of Comillas in Madrid, Spain. Also during her law school career, Allison clerked for a local immigration attorney and worked in the Milton R. Abrahams Legal Clinic.
