Practice Areas:
Manny focuses his practice on civil litigation, commercial lending and creditors' rights issues, and immigration law. He first joined Lewis & Kappes, P.C. as a summer associate in 2010. Manny graduated from Indiana University – Bloomington and received his law degree from the Indiana University School of Law – Indianapolis. While in law school, Manny served as an Editor of the Indiana International & Comparative Law Review and was a Civil Procedure Fellow and Individual Tutor for the Dean's Tutorial Society, where he provided tutorial services to first year law students. Manny also served as a Research Assistant to professor Michael J. Pitts, where he researched various election law issues and also edited Professor Pitts' analysis of a voter identification study. In the fall semester of his second year, Manny clerked for the Honorable James S. Kirsch at the Indiana Court of Appeals and worked closely with him and his clerks in drafting opinions in criminal and civil matters.
Prior to joining Lewis & Kappes, P.C. in 2010, Manny interned with the General Counsel of the Indianapolis Airport Authority where he participated in a variety of tasks ranging from advising the Indianapolis Airport Police Department to researching and composing memoranda on several issues with broad ranging implications for the Authority. As an undergraduate at Indiana University – Bloomington, Manny interned with GE Commercial Finance (formerly Bombardier Capital) and served as a Teacher's Assistant to Professor Donna Eider of the Department of Sociology. In that capacity, Manny assisted Professor Eder in developing and executing a unique Sociology course for upper class students bringing the Native American traditions of storytelling to Bloomington's school-age children.
