David Hensel has been litigating cases since 1988 and has been recognized as one of Indiana’s Super Lawyers and named a “Litigation Star” by Benchmark Litigation, the definitive guide to America’s leading business litigators. He is very familiar with both state and federal courts as he served as a Superior Court Judge in Marion County, Indiana and as a law clerk to a federal district court judge. Mr. Hensel also served as the Deputy Commissioner and Chief Counsel for the Indiana Department of Environmental Management and was responsible for, among other things, all enforcement matters.
Mr. Hensel routinely practices in the areas of complex criminal and civil litigation, in both state and federal courts, and represents clients involved in a variety of environmental, professional, and other regulatory matters. Mr. Hensel represents corporations and individuals in white collar criminal prosecutions and investigations and other regulatory matters including environmental, securities fraud, false claims actions, HUD, tax, health care abuse, kick-back schemes, commercial bribery, embezzlement, RICO, insurance fraud, and bank fraud. He has also successfully represented clients in a variety of business disputes, including patent and probate matters.
Mr. Hensel regularly represents attorneys, doctors, and other professionals in disciplinary and ethical matters, including proceedings before the Indiana Supreme Court Disciplinary Commission, the Indiana State Licensing Board, and the Indiana State Ethics Commission.
