Daniel D. Harshman joined Cozen O’Connor in April 2006. Prior to joining the firm, Dan was with Nixon Peabody LLP. Before moving to California in 1997, Dan was a partner with the Pittsburgh law firm of Pietragallo Bosick & Gordon.
Dan has extensive experience handling business litigation, contract disputes, trade secret disputes, negligence actions, biological implant litigation, products liability, and accounting malpractice actions. His litigation experience includes jury trials in Pennsylvania, California, Arizona, and Texas as well as numerous administrative trials.
Dan earned his Bachelor of Arts from California University of Pennsylvania and his law degree from Duquesne University School of Law, where he served as a recent decisions editor of the Duquesne Law Review. Following graduation from law school, Dan practiced law in Pittsburgh, Pa., for 14 years before relocating to California.
Dan is admitted to practice in California and Pennsylvania and before the U.S. Supreme Court; the U.S. Courts of Appeals for the 3rd, Fourth, 6th, 8th and 9th Circuits; and the U.S. District Courts for the Central, Eastern and Northern Districts of California and the Western District of Pennsylvania. Dan has been a speaker at several national seminars and has published articles on topics ranging from electronic discovery to tissue bank litigation.
