Hartzog, Mark

David Harrison is a shareholder of the firm. Mr. Harrison has more than twenty years experience prosecuting complex class and individual actions on behalf of large investors, policyholders, consumers, and ERISA plan participants.
 
Mr. Harrison has extensive expertise pursuing claims against third parties involved in the insolvency and bankruptcy of large financial institutions such as First Executive Life Insurance Company; Mutual Benefit Life Insurance Company; Reliance Insurance Company; and First Central Financial Corporation.

Most recently, Mr. Harrison played a leading role in the WorldCom Securities Litigation , where the New York City Pension Funds recovered 100 percent of their Securities Act damages sustained from their investment in WorldCom's defaulted bonds. Mr. Harrison is also actively prosecuting the class action in Juniper Networks Securities Litigation, which resulted from accounting improprieties relating to the concealed backdating of millions of executive stock options; ERISA claims against Computer Associates arising out of the mishandling of employee pension funds; and claims on behalf of institutional pension funds; and claims on behalf of institutional shareholders against corporate insiders for breach of fiduciary duty in connection with the recent wave of "going private" transactions.

Mr. Harrison holds both a J.D. (1980) and L.L.M. (1982) from the New York University School of Law and is a graduate of Villanova University. Mr. Harrison is admitted to practice in New York, and is a member of the bar of the U.S. Courts of Appeals for the 2nd, 7th, 8th and 9th Circuits; and the U.S. District Courts for the Southern and Eastern District of New York.
