Ms. Harrington's practice involves representing employers in all aspects of labor and employment litigation, including discrimination, harassment, wrongful termination, retaliation, breach of contract, and wage and hour violations.
Since 1997, she has represented and advised employers on all aspects of employment regulations, including posting requirements, sex harassment training, meal and rest break requirements, and the classification of employees as exempt or non-exempt. She has reviewed and prepared employee handbooks, severance agreements, executive contracts, and other employment agreements. The types of employers Ms. Harrington has represented range from family owned businesses to national retailers and financial institutions. Her practice also includes the defense of general liability and real property matters. She has obtained defense verdicts in several jury trials in her areas of practice. She has also arbitrated and mediated in excess of 100 cases in her practice.
Ms. Harrington is a member of the Employment and Labor Law Section of the Los Angeles County Bar Association. She is a volunteer at the Christian Legal Aid of Los Angeles, a non-profit organization that provides assistance to the poor.
While attending law school, Ms. Harrington was recipient of the American Jurisprudence award in Moot Court and the American Jurisprudence award in Federal Sentencing. She was also the recipient of the Dean's Scholarship during law school (1991-1994). In addition, Ms. Harrington was a volunteer for the San Diego Volunteer Lawyers Program, where she helped indigent members of her community obtain benefits.
Ms. Harrington lives in the Hollywood Hills with husband, Steve, daughters, Ava and Ella, and their dog, Wendell. She and the family enjoy hiking and camping in their spare time.
