Randall C. Hanson is a partner with the firm and a member of the business department. He joined the firm in 1976. Mr. Hanson focuses his practice on the representation of business clients, handling complex commercial transactions in the areas of energy law, technology law and contract law.
In his representation of energy companies, Mr. Hanson has extensive experience in the negotiation and drafting of development agreements, turbine and other equipment purchase contracts, engineering, procurement and construction agreements for power plants, long term service agreements for turbines and plant site leases and option agreements. Mr. Hanson has also assisted with transactions involving natural gas exploration and gas storage facilities. Mr. Hanson has appeared before the Nebraska Public Service Commission in connection with the transfer of natural gas facilities.
In his corporate practice, Mr. Hanson has placed special emphasis on the negotiation and drafting of business contracts involving computer law and the acquisition and sale of closely held businesses. He represents clients in the negotiation and preparation of letters of intent, and agreements for various matters including confidentiality, the provision of services, consulting, the purchase or sale of either the assets or stock of a business, executive employment, software and technology licensing, and for the development of specialized hardware and software.
Mr. Hanson received his Bachelor of Science from Midland College in 1969. After serving in the United States Army, he received his Juris Doctor with distinction from the University of Nebraska College of Law in 1976.
Mr. Hanson is a member of the Omaha and Nebraska State Bar Associations and he is a member of the Construction Law Section of Commercial Law Affiliates.
