Catherine Hanna graduated from Stanford Law School in 1988, after obtaining an undergraduate degree in history from Texas Tech University in 1984. She practiced business and insurance coverage litigation in the San Francisco firm of Brobeck, Phleger & Harrison for two years before moving to Austin in 1990, where she continued to practice commercial litigation with particular emphasis on insurance bad faith litigation, coverage matters and appeals. Catherine has an outstanding trial record and has had great success in securing judgments for insurance companies in cases involving insurance fraud and frivolous claims. Catherine's publications include: Deposition Practice Under the New Rules, CIVIL DISCOVERY UNDER THE NEW RULES (JANUARY 1999); Statutory Bad Faith Update, INSURANCE BAD FAITH CLAIMS SEMINAR (Oct. 16, 1998) (co-authored). She is admitted to practice before all Texas courts and the U.S. Court of Appeals, Fifth Circuit and U.S. District Courts for the Northern, Southern, and Western Districts of Texas.
