Joseph Saka is a Washington, DC-based associate in Dickstein Shapiro's Insurance Coverage Practice who represents corporate policyholders in disputes against their insurers involving a wide variety of policies, including commercial liability, directors and officers (D&O), property, and fidelity policies. Mr. Saka has successfully assisted clients recover millions of dollars from their insurance companies.
Mr. Saka has also represented clients in white-collar criminal litigation matters, including cases involving fraud, RICO, and Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA) allegations. He has additionally conducted internal corporate investigations and advised clients on FCPA due diligence and compliance programs.
Mr. Saka's experience includes taking and defending depositions, arguing motions, interviewing witnesses, preparing discovery requests and responses, drafting key motions and briefs, and preparing for trial.
