Jeffrey M. Salassa is a graduate of Michigan State University. While attending MSU he was a member of the National Society of Collegiate Scholars, spent a semester in Washington D.C. as an intern for the then Democratic Whip, Congressman David Bonior, and also spent a semester studying British Political Thought at Cambridge University in the United Kingdom. After graduating MSU with a Bachelor of Arts in Telecommunications in 2003 he attended Michigan State University College of Law where he earned his Juris Doctorate in 2006. In 2006 he was also admitted to practice in the State of Michigan and the U.S. District Court of Eastern Michigan. Jeffrey is a certified civil mediator and a member of both the Michigan and Macomb County Bar Associations. Jeffrey is also a member of the Macomb County Family Law Committee and State Bar of Michigan Family Law Section.

Prior to becoming a partner at Iafrate & Salassa, P.C., Jeffrey interned for the Wayne County Prosecutors Office and was also a Law Clerk in Macomb County Circuit Court for the Honorable Judge Mark Switalski while Judge Switalski was the presiding Judge of the Family Law Bench.
