Corey received his Bachelor of Arts Degree from Westminster College in New Wilmington, Pennsylvania. He then attended the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law, where he earned his law degree and graduated Magna Cum Laude.
While in law school, Corey was an Editor of the Law Review and his article entitled 'A Second Chance, Michigan’s Progressive Shift in Social Policy To Rehabilitate Its Mentally Ill and Juvenile Defendants' was published in the UDM Law Review.
Corey was awarded three fellowships in 2008, the University of Michigan Child Welfare Fellowship, the Equal Justice Works Summer Corps Fellowship, and the University of Detroit Public Interest Fellowship, which enabled him to work as a guardian ad litem for abused and neglected children in Pittsburgh.
Corey is a member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association, the Westmoreland Bar Association, and the Westmoreland Bar Association Young Lawyer's Committee.
