Practice
Ms. Han focuses her practice on patent prosecution, litigation, and opinion work involving medical devices, life sciences and biotechnology. She analyzes and manages domestic and foreign patent portfolios. Ms. Han also counsels clients on patentability, validity and infringement issues.
Recent Highlights
Past Experience
As an undergraduate, Ms. Han worked as a research assistant in the Neurology Department at The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She investigated the in vitro effects of statins and interferon beta-1a on the inflammatory response in Multiple Sclerosis patients.
In addition to her undergraduate research, Ms. Han worked for two years as a student intern at Inspire Pharmaceuticals. She optimized an assay technique and developed a lesson plan for a Contemporary Science Center class for high school students. She also conducted protein purification, animal testing and drafted a provisional patent application for an analgesic.
Professional Activities
Ms. Han is the co-chair of the Biotechnology Committee of the Boston Patent Law Association (BPLA) and has previously served as the chair of the Activities and Public Relations Committee of the BPLA. Ms. Han is also a member of the American Bar Association, Boston Bar Association and American Intellectual Property Law Association.

Community Involvement
As part of Ms. Han's pro bono practice, she successfully represented clients from Uganda and the Congo seeking asylum before the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services Asylum Office.
