Christopher Ryan began his practice in Peoria after graduating from the University of Illinois in 1981 with a Bachelors Degree in Political Science and completing his law degree at the University of Illinois College of Law in 1984. He joined the firm of Strodel & Kingery in 1984 and in 1992, the firm name was changed to Kingery, Durree, Wakeman & Ryan when he became a partner in the firm. In October of 2010, he started his current practice of the Law Office of Christopher P. Ryan. He concentrates his practice in the area of civil litigation, both for plaintiff and defense clients. He has a general practice in litigation, including concentration areas of personal injury, wrongful death, Worker’s Compensation, medical and legal malpractice, Family law, ERISA and insurance cases, representing parties in special education matters and school injuries, as well as appellate practice.
Christopher Ryan is admitted to practice before all the courts in the state of Illinois as well as the Federal District Court for the Central District of Illinois, and the 7th Circuit Court of Appeals. He handles appeals in various Illinois Appellate Courts, the Supreme Court of Illinois, as well as the 7th Circuit Court of Appeals in the federal district.
