David G. Halm is the managing shareholder of Pettit Kohn’s Los Angeles office and chairs the firm’s Diversity Committee. He practices civil litigation with an emphasis on business, real estate and personal injury matters. He has participated in thirteen trials and five binding arbitrations. Recently, one of David's clients was awarded $850,000 by the Los Angeles Superior Court. David also successfully recovered $2.495 million in a business litigation case. David has achieved Martindale-Hubbell’s highest rating for his legal ability and ethical standards.
David was admitted to the State Bar of California and the United States District Court, Central District of California, in 1995, following graduation from Loyola Law School of Los Angeles. David is also admitted to practice before the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. He served as an extern to the Honorable William F. Rylaarsdam, California Court of Appeal, Fourth Appellate District, Santa Ana, and the Honorable Ronald S.W. Lew, United States District Court, Central District of California. A native Californian, David earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of California, Los Angeles, in 1991.
David is a member of the California Minority Counsel Program, National Asian Pacific American Bar Association, Asian Pacific American Bar Association of Los Angeles and the Japanese American Bar Association.
