Daniel Clark Hales is an attorney and a leading member of the estate planning community in Southern California. Mr. Hales is a well-known speaker on advanced estate planning. He has lectured on the benefits of sound estate planning and advanced planning techniques at literally hundreds of public events, for financial institutions, leading corporations, and for retirement communities and professional organizations.
Mr. Hales exclusively serves clients in matters relating to advanced estate planning, benefiting clients from the knowledge that their loved ones will not have to go through the expense and delay of probate. For clients with larger estates, Mr. Hales uses tools such as irrevocable trusts, which can provide the added tax-free liquidity to protect the estate from federal estate and gift taxes.
Mr. Hales also focuses his efforts in the counsel, creation and maintenance of Private Foundations, Charitable Remainder Trusts, Family Limited Partnerships and Qualified Personal Residence Trusts and other advanced planning vehicles and techniques.
He earned his BA and his MBA from the Marriot School of Business Management at Brigham Young University, and his Juris Doctor from the J. Rueben Clark Law School at Brigham Young University.
Mr. Hales is admitted to practice before all California State Courts and the United States District Court, Central District of California. He is a member of the California State Bar's Section of Trusts, Estates, and Probate.
