Melissa Hagstrum is an attorney at Larkin Hoffman Daly & Lindgren Ltd., focusing her practice in the areas of construction litigation and general liability and civil litigation.
Prior to joining Larkin Hoffman, Melissa practiced at Foley & Mansfield and was a law clerk at M.A.O. Legal Services, where she drafted wills, powers of attorney, probate documents, guardianship/conservatorship documents, special needs trust agreements, premarital agreements, and attorney correspondence. Before attending law school, she taught 9th and 11th grade English courses, designed curricula and developed a collaborative teaching model for content-area teachers and special education teachers.
Melissa received her J.D. in 2009 from William Mitchell College of Law, where she received two CALI awards for Employment Law Workshop and Legal Practicum. She received her Master of Education in Teaching and Curriculum in 2003 from Harvard University, where she was a George Chase Christian Scholarship recipient. She graduated from Princeton University in 2002 with her B.A. in English.
Melissa volunteers for the Ramsey County Guardian ad Litem Program where she represents the best interests of children in need of protection or services in Ramsey County Juvenile Court proceedings. She also is a volunteer and committee member for the Harvard Club of Minnesota's Early College Awareness Initiative, advising 5th - 8th grade students in the Minneapolis Public Schools and their families about how to prepare for college. She is a member of the Minnesota State Bar Association and the Hennepin County Bar Association.
