Alan Rubinstein has over 45 years of legal experience, is board certified in marital and family law, and has earned the distinction of fellowship in the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers. For more than 20 years, Alan has written Recent Decisions, a publication which chronicles recent family law cases. Alan served on the Executive Council of the Family Law Section of the Florida Bar for 12 years. Alan also served on The Florida Bar's board certification committee for family law and all of the major committees of the Florida Family Law Section, including legislative, continuing education, support issues, publications, membership and forms. Alan was an active member of the Rules committee of The Florida Bar during formulation of the Florida Family Law Rules. Alan has published numerous chapters in family law manuals with a focus on case law and practice analysis. In 1990, Alan was the lead author of the family law volume of "Florida Legal Forms," by West Publishing Company. Alan is a certified family law mediator and arbitrator, is trained in collaborative law and is qualified to serve as a trial resolution judge. Alan has achieved the distinction of listing in the Best Lawyers of America since 1989, and is recognized as a Super Lawyer. Alan is a member of the American Bar Association, the Lee County Bar, the Association of Family Law Professionals, and is AV rated by Martindale Hubbell. Alan graduated from the University of Miami and received his juris doctorate in law from the University of Florida.
