G'sell, Christopher M.

Brian Y. Furuya was born and raised in Los Angeles County, California, but is now privileged to call Flagstaff his home.  Brian began work with Aspey, Watkins & Diesel, P.L.L.C. as a law clerk in 2006 and joined the law firm as an attorney in 2007.  Since joining the firm, Brian has been named to The National Trial Lawyers Top 40 Under 40.  Brian tries to be active in the local community.  He has served on the Board of Directors for the Coconino County Bar Association, and was also selected as a member of the Flagstaff Leadership Program’s class of 2012.  Prior to coming to Flagstaff, Brian clerked with Hon. Lynn W. Davis, district judge for the 4^th Judicial District of Utah, as well as with the United States Attorney’s Office in Salt Lake City.  In law school, he was Managing Editor of Articles for the Brigham Young University Journal of Public Law, and authored a piece appearing in that publication.  He also was an adjunct professor of law with the J. Reuben Clark Law School, helping teach legal interviewing & counseling theory and technique from 2007 until 2010.  Brian is admitted to practice in all State and Federal courts in Arizona and before the Navajo Nation.
