Joel M. Rosen is a partner in the firm practicing primarily in real estate and related commercial matters. His primary areas of expertise include sales and acquisitions, complex real estate financing, including loan restructurings, and redevelopment law. Mr. Rosen also has a strong background in the structuring of condominiums and other common interest ownership projects, including the registration of the offering of such projects with the New Jersey Department of Community Affairs and the New York Attorney General.
Mr. Rosen represents several municipalities and other public entities in New Jersey as redevelopment counsel. He has been successful on behalf of his clients in various urban areas in helping in the development of new homes, including affordable and senior citizen housing, and retail and other business development.
Mr. Rosen is a past chair of the New Jersey Bar Association Real Property, Probate and Trust Law Section and, during his tenure, he testified before various committees of the New Jersey Legislature in support of real property-oriented legislation. In recognition of these efforts, he received the New Jersey Bar Association Legal Advocacy Award.
He received his undergraduate degree from Columbia in 1978, and his law degree from the Boston University School of Law in 1981.
Mr. Rosen is resident in our Montclair, New Jersey office.
