Philosophy
Business litigation, even for the most experienced clients, is a stressful, emotional, and time consuming ordeal. As much as possible your lawyer should take the burden off your shoulders. Although it is unrealistic and presumptuous to suggest that a “website” can put your mind at ease when involved in a legal dispute, hopefully our philosophy and approach will reduce some of your burden and worry.
A successful attorney-client relationship isn’t just about a money transaction. In addition to legal skill, experience, and results, a successful attorney-client relationship requires trust. And, trust is earned by actions. For his part, Dimitri Gross makes a commitment to:
• Listen to you describe the problems and circumstances which led you to contact us
• Be honest and straightforward when advising you about the case and fees/costs
• Set fair and realistic expectations regarding the costs versus the benefits of your dispute
• Plan a course of action that fits your circumstance with the ultimate goal of resolving the matter economically and efficiently. Depending on the nature, scope, and value of the dispute or controversy this could take the form of a diplomatic settlement or aggressive litigation or a combination of the two
• Respond to calls and emails within 12 hours, and promptly report the status of the case, upcoming events, and communications with the court and opposing counsel
• Unlike most firms we do not charge you for short, routine phone calls or emails because we want you to call us without feeling you will be charged for every short phone call or email
• Work with you to determine how involved you want to be in the case. Some clients want to be very involved and others want to be hands off
