Grodeck, Richard A.

David R. Grimmett is the founder of the Grimmett Law Firm, PLLC. Immediately after graduating law school, he began the firm with only a computer, a banker’s box, and a chair. Since that time, he has moved the firm to the Regions Bank Building in downtown Nashville where he has represented over 500 people and businesses in Tennessee.

Mr. Grimmett focuses his practice on representing children and parents in personal injury cases and also has a special focus on abuse cases. He has been appointed as special magistrate several times in Davidson County Juvenile Court when a judge is not able to hear the case. He is also one of ten attorneys selected by the State to teach other attorneys how to try and defend severe child abuse cases.

Mr. Grimmett is also one of the few attorneys in the state who tries administrative hearings involving professional licenses. In law school, he clerked for the Administrative Law Judges who oversee all hearings involving the Department of Health and Department of Commerce. Given this experience, Mr. Grimmett is specially qualified to protect his client’s interests.

Mr. Grimmett currently serves as the chairman of the Nashville Bar Association (Juvenile Court Section) and as the treasurer of the Tennessee Bar Association (Administrative Law Section).
