Ryan Grant graduated from the University of Texas in 1997 with a B.A degree in Psychology and Sociology, with a focus on Criminal Justice and Criminology. He then went on to graduate from Southern Methodist University School of Law in Dallas.
Ryan spent a year as a law clerk with a prominent criminal defense practice in North Texas before joining the Dallas County District Attorney's Office Trial Division.
Ryan quickly made a name for himself as a skilled litigator, handling many serious, high profile felonies. He left the office as a Felony Prosecutor in January of 2004 and has dedicated his career to the defense of others ever since. Ryan has handled hundreds of cases as lead counsel, including Murder, Sex Crimes against Children, Aggravated Assault, Cyber Crimes, Drug Possession and Drug Conspiracy, DWI, Intoxication Manslaughter, Family Violence, and many others. Ryan successfully defended a daycare owner accused of Indecency with a Child (case dismissed), a local attorney and business owner accused of DWI (Not Guilty), and many other successful representations of other attorneys in criminal matters. Ryan has also represented a prominent radio personality as well as the son of a judge after the judge saw how Ryan dismantled the prosecution in his courtroom.
He has been featured on National Legal Programs, including On the Record with Greta Van Susteren as well as numerous local news programs.
Ryan has also been featured on local radio as an expert in Criminal Law, and he has lectured on various aspects of Criminal Law to some of the most well respected attorneys in the area. Ryan has further served as coach and consultant to the Southern Methodist University School of Law Mock Trial Team. He currently serves as a Board of Director for the Dallas County Criminal Defense Lawyers Association. Of utmost importance to Ryan is providing his clients with the very finest legal representation available. He currently resides in the Dallas area with his wife and two children.
