Stanley E. Robison, Jr. focuses his practice on:
Stan was born in New Albany, Indiana on November 23, 1954. After graduating from New Albany High School in 1973, he attended Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana, and later graduated with honors. From July 1977 through July 1983, Stan was employed by a major insurance company as a claims investigator, and during the last four years of that tenure, worked his way through law school at the University of Louisville. After being admitted to the Indiana Bar in July 1983, Stan became a public defender in Clark County, Indiana, where he served the Clark Circuit and Superior Courts for two years. In August 1985, Stan became a deputy prosecuting attorney in Floyd County, Indiana, where he served for four years while also maintaining a private practice.
Stan is dedicated to representing real people, helping them address their disputes with individuals, businesses, corporations, and insurance companies. In fact, since January 1, 1987, he has refused to represent any insurance company or major corporation who has requested his services. Stan also represents people going through the trauma of divorce and custody cases, assisting them during what he understands is the most difficult times of their lives, having learned of these matters by being Judge Pro Tem in the Floyd Circuit Court.
Stan is a member of the American Trial Lawyers Association, Indiana Trial Lawyers Association, American and Indiana Bar Associations, and presently serves as the New Albany Plan Commission and Board of Zoning Appeals Attorney. He has served as special counsel to the New Albany City Government on a number of matters ranging from Riverboat Gaming to litigating against corporations that have compromised our environment by dumping illegal chemicals in the local sewer system.
