Kevin Rizzuto is a member of the firm's Intellectual Property Practice Group in our Milwaukee office. His practice focuses on intellectual property matters. In particular, he assists businesses obtain strategic patent protection for new technologies and navigate existing patents to avoid infringement risks. His practice includes patent drafting, patent prosecution, patentability analysis, patent invalidity analysis, and product clearance analysis. Mr. Rizzuto concentrates in the electrical and computer arts including computer architecture, sensor technology, power tool circuitry, automated heavy equipment, medical devices, medical imaging software, and database management.

While working at Michael Best, Mr. Rizzuto has assisted multinational companies launch new products while minimizing infringement risks in crowded patent landscapes; developed patent strategies for effectively and efficiently protecting new technological advances; and traveled to the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office to successfully discuss pending applications to obtain granted patents. Mr. Rizzuto has also drafted an intellectual property agreement for technology companies embarking on a joint product development and advised clients during ex parte reexamination proceedings of competitor patents.
