MORGAN DUNCAN is an associate at Butler, Wooten & Fryhofer LLP whose practice areas include a variety of civil litigation matters, including False Claims Act cases.

Morgan was born in Atlanta, Georgia and spent much of her childhood in Missouri and Colorado before returning to Georgia for high school. She attended the University of Georgia for her undergraduate degree, where she studied German and History. She graduated in 2006 summa cum laude and was a First Honor Graduate. While at the University of Georgia, she was a member of the Demosthenian Literary Society Debate Team and studied abroad in Erlangen, Germany. Morgan speaks proficient German and conversational Spanish. Between undergraduate and law school, Morgan worked in public relations and fundraising for a non-profit patients' rights group in California.

Morgan graduated cum laude in 2012 from the University of Georgia School of Law. While in law school, she founded and served as President of the UGA Student Chapter for the Georgia Trial Lawyers Association. She also served as an officer for the German American Law Society. Morgan was the first student to participate in the law school's global internship program at the Harbin Institute of Technology in Harbin, China. Through the program, Morgan spent the summer researching international law on environmentally displaced persons for a Chinese law professor. She also worked as an academic mentor for UGA student athletes while in law school. Morgan clerked for Superior Court Judge David Sweat of the Western Judicial Circuit in Athens and served as a student advocate in the law school's Family Violence Clinic, where she assisted Athens-area victims of domestic abuse. Morgan was a summer associate at the plaintiff's law firm Valad & Vecchione in Fairfax, Virginia, assisting with complex pharmaceutical litigation. Additionally, Morgan participated in the law school's first "D.C. Semester in Practice" program, allowing her to spend her final semester in Washington, D.C., interning full-time at the Department of Justice while taking evening classes.

Morgan is currently a pupil of the Columbus Inn of Court and a member of the Georgia Association for Women Lawyers and the Columbus Trial Lawyers Association.
