Patricia Kay Dube - Ms. Dube obtained a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Texas in 1972 and a Master of Arts degree from Sam Houston State University in 1973. Her thesis was on international relations and Latin American Development. In 1979, Ms. Dube obtained a J.D. degree from South Texas College of Law, where she served as assistant editor of South Texas Law Review and was author of a number of articles, including one article on product liability law that continues to be cited in Vernon's Texas Civil Statutes Annotated and Texas Jurisprudence . She has had extensive insurance and product liability experience and is rated "pre-eminent" by Martindale-Hubbell in the legal ability and general recommendation categories. For the spring semester commencing January 1, 1998, Ms. Dube served as an Adjunct Professor at South Texas College of Law, Texas A&M University, in Houston, teaching a seminar on products liability law.
Experience includes extensive general civil litigation in both federal and state courts, including, but not limited to, insurance defense litigation involving products liability, premises liability, professional malpractice, errors and omissions, medical malpractice, transportation, toxic tort, construction litigation and environmental litigation. Litigation experience includes representing domestic and international insurance companies, adjusters, agents, and brokers in litigation involving bad faith and coverage related disputes. Practice also includes handling of excess surplus lines, and reinsurance matters, negotiation of insurance contracts and manuscript provisions, negotiating complex cost sharing agreements and related insurance matters on a domestic and international basis. Ms. Dube works in both Dallas and Houston.
