Peter practices in the Business, Government and Frac Sand, Mining and Minerals Sections of the firm. He provides advice to business, municipal and individual clients on contract and prosecution matters. He also works with clients involved in frac sand, mining and minerals negotiation matters.
Prior to joining the firm, Peter was a member of the Monroe County District Attorney’s office and prosecuted a wide range of felony and misdemeanor cases. Peter’s courtroom experience includes suppression and preliminary hearings, John Doe proceedings, jury trials and post-conviction proceedings.
Peter’s agricultural business experience stems from being raised on a family dairy farm. He continues to maintain an active role on the farm and stays involved in the agricultural community through volunteer and professional work with local and state 4-H activities.
Peter earned his bachelor of science degree in Dairy Science, as well as his law degree from the University of Wisconsin - Madison. He is a member of the Wisconsin State Bar, Illinois State Bar and is licensed to practice in the United States District Court for the Western District of Wisconsin.
Peter enjoys running, biking, swimming, spending time with friends and family and working with dairy cattle. He also enjoys traveling abroad and has visited several European countries including England, France, Italy and Scotland. Peter lives in Chippewa Valley.
