Jenny Riggs has represented corporations and public entity clients in a wide range of complex business and commercial litigation matters. Her experience includes product liability matters, health care-related litigation, toxic tort matters, actuarially defined pension plans, securities fraud, breach of contract claims, and business torts. She also has defended clients claimed to be successors-in-interest, including claims related to a particular product line. Jenny has experience at the pretrial, trial, and appellate levels for public entity clients, private clients, and pro bono clients.
In addition, Jenny has been involved in U.S.-based litigation for foreign clients as well as domestic clients with foreign offices, including clients located in Germany, the People's Republic of China, and Central and South America. She has represented these clients in their defense of claims in U.S. courts involving fraud, toxic tort, product liability, and general commercial and contract disputes.
Jenny participated in the defense of International Business Machines Corporation at a four-month jury trial in 2003-2004, which resulted in a unanimous jury verdict for IBM. As a member of a small litigation team, Jenny also successfully defended Textron in a large product liability matter in federal court in the Central District of California and also participated in an arbitration to resolve breach of contract claims in the health care field.
