Neil Dougherty is an attorney at The Litigation Boutique LLC.

Mr. Dougherty is licensed to practice law in Colorado and Pennsylvania and has experience handling a wide variety of civil, commercial, and complex litigation matters in state and federal court.  Mr. Dougherty represents clients in connection with charges of discrimination and harassment in violation of Title VII, the ADA, and ADEA, claims based on the Colorado Wage Claim Act, and claims of wrongful discharge in violation of public policy.  He also spends time counseling clients on non-compete agreements, FMLA issues, FLSA compliance, and employment policies, severance agreements, and hiring practices.  Further, Mr. Dougherty handles dispute resolution for real estate matters.  Mr. Dougherty has litigated a variety of matters for plaintiffs and defendants in federal and state courts, including cases involving breaches of loan documents, title insurance defalcation, the non-dischargeability of bankruptcy debtors, receiverships, and the Interstate Land Sales Full Disclosure Act.

Mr. Dougherty also advises clients regarding other real estate and lending matters, including real estate transactions, development, and finance.  He has advised lenders and buyers on matters relating to commercial and residential real estate acquisition and leasing, land development, loan documentation, and simple to complex due diligence.  Mr. Dougherty has experience representing local, regional, and national banks, and global investment bank lenders, as well as developers and investors, in many phases of the commercial real estate mortgage lending process, including loan origination, defaults, and workouts.

Prior to joining The Litigation Boutique, Mr. Dougherty practiced at Dechert LLP in Philadelphia and the Denver office of Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck LLP.  Mr. Dougherty also served as an intern for Judge Clarence C. Newcomer of the Federal District Court, Eastern District of Pennsylvania, and Hywel Williams, MP, a Member of the U.K. Parliament.

Mr. Dougherty earned a B.A., magna cum laude, in History from Colorado State University, completed a public policy curriculum at the London School of Economics, and earned his J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania Law School.

Mr. Dougherty is a licensed pilot, avid mountaineer, and travels the world with his wife.
