Michael Dolan is accomplished in environmental and OSHA matters. He has represented clients at more than 60 Superfund sites and provided environmental transaction support for more than 300 corporate and commercial transactions. He has guided clients through more than 200 OSHA inspections and contested cases and served as chair of the Firm's Environmental, Health & Safety Practice from 1997 until 2004.
His recent work has included matters for CTS Corporation, The Duchossois Group, National Beef Packing Company, STERIS Corporation, Woodward, and Xcel Energy. Prior to his legal career, he was responsible for the occupational health and environmental issues for the chemicals division of a Fortune 500 company. He also was a compliance safety and health officer for the Iowa state OSHA program where he conducted safety and industrial hygiene enforcement inspections of more than 200 businesses.
Michael is a member of the American Bar Association, Section of Environment, Energy, and Resources and various of its committees, including air quality, endangered species, energy and natural resources litigation, environmental disclosure, environmental litigation and toxic torts, environmental transactions and brownfields, Superfund and natural resource damages litigation, and waste management. He is a member of the ABA's Section of Labor and Employment Law and its committee on occupational safety and health law (employer/management) as well. He is also a member of the Illinois State Bar Association, the Environmental Law Institute, the American Industrial Hygiene Association, the American Society of Safety Engineers, the Air and Waste Management Association, and the American Conference of Governmental Industrial Hygienists.
