Caitlin Docherty is a Litigation Associate with the firm practicing in the areas of Civil & Commercial Litigation and Appellate Practice. Caitlin joined the firm in August 2012. She works closely with Timothy W. Weber, Shareholder, Aubrey O. Dicus, President of the firm, and Stephen J. Wein, Vice President and Treasurer of the firm.
Caitlin graduated magna cum laude from the University of Florida Levin College of Law in May 2012. She graduated cum laude from the University of Tampa, Honors Program in December, 2008.
While in law school, Caitlin was selected to compete as a finalist in the St. Thomas More Moot Court Competition. She graduated with a Pro Bono Certificate due to her pro bono work as a research associate. She also received a Criminal Justice Certificate, partially as a result of her work as a Certified Legal Intern at the State Attorney’s Office and an extern at the United States Attorney’s Office. She was recognized in the Florida Innocence Commission’s Final Report to the Supreme Court of Florida for her extensive legal research. Caitlin also was an appellate law clerk for a Washington D.C. law firm.
Caitlin is a member of the Florida Bar. She is also a member of the Barney Masterson Inn of Court.
Caitlin enjoys volunteering in the Tampa Bay area. Her volunteer positions have included being a Big Brothers Big Sisters student mentor at West Tampa Elementary School, volunteering for the Gasparilla Festival of the Arts, and volunteering for the All Children’s Hospital Telethon in St. Petersburg. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, hiking and writing.
