Anne Smith was born in Charleston, South Carolina. She graduated magna cum laude from the University of the South (Sewanee) (B.A., 2003), where she was also inducted into Phi Beta Kappa. In 2009 Anne graduated from The University of South Carolina School of Law (J.D. 2009) where she was a member of the Phi Delta Phi legal fraternity and the Student Bar Association.
Anne was admitted to the South Carolina Bar in November 2009. She is a member of the Charleston County, South Carolina and American Bar Associations. Her areas of practice include civil and commercial litigation, medical malpractice defense, nursing home litigation, health care law and insurance law.
