Cecilia Dickson is a litigator who focuses her practice on intellectual property disputes. Cecilia has represented clients in federal and state courts (at both the trial and appellate levels) and before the U.S. International Trade Commission (ITC), the Court of International Trade (CIT), and the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board (TTAB). Cecilia also maintains a significant litigation practice involving product liability defense, covenants not to compete, lender liability, and various contractual disputes. She handles trademark prosecution, counsels clients on transactional and licensing issues, and provides e-discovery counseling on matters, including document retention policies. Cecilia has served as lead counsel in IP and non-IP matters and has jury trial and bench trial experience.
Cecilia devotes her time to several organizations and holds leadership roles in many of them. Currently, she is vice chair of the Pennsylvania Bar Association Intellectual Property Section, treasurer of the Pittsburgh Intellectual Property Law Association, and a council member of the Allegheny County Bar Association's Civil Litigation Section. Cecilia teaches courses involving constitutional law, civil rights and liberties, and American political thought as an adjunct professor at Saint Vincent College in the Alex G. McKenna School of Business, Economics and Government. She is a member of the college's Alumni Council and was honored to serve as the principal commencement speaker in December 2008. Cecilia recently completed a term on the board of directors of the Spina Bifida Association of Western Pennsylvania and is a member of the Harvard Club of Western Pennsylvania.
